Emily Rankin is an actor, director, and artist who specializes in immersive performance. She currently lives and works in film and theatre in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and is represented by South West Artist Group. For the past two decades she's explored the world of production extensively, participating in 50 film productions and over a hundred theatrical productions. During her years spent in Austin, Texas, she helped bring to life productions like Whirligig Theatre's Deus Ex Machina, a choose-your-own-adventure based on the Oresteia, and Penfold Theatre's Murder on the Rails, a murder mystery series performed aboard the Austin Steam Train. With Meason Wiley, she co-created and developed Verstehen, an improvisational performance series for sound and live painting that toured the west coast in 2017. From 2018-2020, she worked with Meow Wolf in Santa Fe, New Mexico, both as a performer in The House of Eternal Return and as a Project Manager for Meow Wolf's Interactive's division. In 2019, she directed an XR play for Meow Wolf, which featured five unique Magic Leap headset experiences and a company of ten actors.
